Garden receives a favorable writeup under the Movies section of MSNBC.com/Newsweek's Periscope column.
"Nobody wants to help them, everybody wants to use them... It is indescribable how bad life is for these people."
Indescribable, perhaps, but the documentary does a convincing job of portraying the netherworld these youngsters inhabit."

Garden featured on Sundance Channel's DOCday
For the month of June, Sundance Channel's DOCday premieres address issues of interest to the GLBT (gay lesbian bi transgender) community. This focus is in keeping with Sundance Channel's month-long tribute to gay pride month called "Out Loud".
June 7th at 9:00 pm
Garden (U.S. Television Premiere) - Directed by Adi Barash and Ruthie Shatz. An affecting account of the friendship between Arab teenagers Nino and Dudu, who fled abusive households and now work as male prostitutes in a seedy neighborhood known as "the garden" in downtown Tel-Aviv.
Their unpredictable lives and daily struggles unfold against the larger landscape of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and Nino's status as an illegal immigrant makes him especially vulnerable. But over the course of a year that includes eviction, jail and drug problems, Nino and Dudu worry most about one another.
Garden premieres on June 7th at 9:00 pm and also airs on the 10th at 11:00 pm, the 14th at 11:00 pm, and the 30th at 4:00 am.
